The Chrome™ Lanterns studio lighting kit is an excellent way to illuminate the background of a shot. The Chrome™ Lanterns emit soft, natural light, dispersing it evenly in all directions. The idea for these lights comes directly from film sets, where spherical softboxes are commonly used. They are used to fill shadows in the background, improve color accuracy, enhance image plasticity and tonal dynamics. They are perfect for filming indoors as a "fill" light with a gentle intensity. The double kit allows you to create natural, "cinematic" lighting for your scene. The complete kit is ready to use once assembled. Remote control via the included remote.
Based on professional film set experiences, CineGEN has created lamps with a semi-spherical light modifier - the Helio™ 60 softbox. Most of the reflector's surface is replaced by diffusing fabric. This changes how the light propagates and ultimately illuminates your scene. The Helio™ creates an extensive, soft area of light with a more gentle intensity compared to classic octaboxes of the same power. The light has a 360° distribution, with a large relative size of the light source. The lamp's height allows you to use the ceiling as a natural reflector.
The light from Chrome™ Lanterns complements lighting in the background perfectly. Often, especially in amateur video, we see a shot where the foreground is well-lit (usually a face) and the background is underexposed (the interior of a room). Chrome™ Lanterns placed in the background allow you to illuminate it while also highlighting the foreground through contour lighting (hairlight, three-point lighting, movie look).
Adding Chrome™ Lanterns improves the tonal dynamics of your image, increasing its quality (and indirectly boosting bit rate during digital recording), allowing for lower ISO settings and improving plasticity and color accuracy.

Helio™ 60 Softboxes (2 pcs.)
The Helio™ is a surprisingly effective adaptation of professional spherical softboxes. Its genius and simplicity lie in utilizing an existing, proven solution - the integrated octagonal softbox - to create a modifier with the properties of a completely different fixture: a spherical softbox. As a result, you get a professional light at a price that's unattainable for classic constructions. The lamp's assembly is also simple, just like unfolding a studio umbrella, saving valuable time. The diffusing fabric provides good light dispersion while only slightly reducing its intensity.
The Helio™ 60 has a classic E27 bulb fitting and a mounting socket for lighting stands (most studio stands will fit). In the softbox (closed fixture), you can use low-temperature photo fluorescent lights as well as LED bulbs.
The Chrome™ Lanterns kit already includes appropriately matched bulbs and studio stands.

DaVinci™ 50W LED Bulbs (2 pcs.)
Remotely controlled LED bulbs with adjustable color temperature and bulb power. Designed for photographic and film applications. They allow remote control even after being mounted in softbox-type fixtures. Efficient aluminum radiators provide passive, silent cooling, allowing the use of these bulbs during filming with sound recording.
The variable color temperature is achieved through a classic method known from on-camera lights - by mounting a chessboard of luminescent diodes with two different color temperatures. This solution has an additional advantage: shifts in the spectrum of individual diodes increase the effective color rendering for the entire bulb. The range of color temperatures goes from 3600K to 6200K. The high luminous efficiency of the bulb means that, despite low active power consumption, we achieve very high luminance, equivalent to a 100-watt bulb.
The LED matrices are covered with a protective light-diffusing lens (diffuser) with an area of 112cm². This ensures the emitted light has a pleasant, soft distribution regardless of intensity. At short distances, this softening effect can be compared to that of a softbox or beauty dish lamp. The bulb produces very nice, relatively large reflections.
The generated light is continuous without flickering, allowing for filming at higher frame rates. The bulb is designed for indoor use, with an IP20 protection class. It's intended for professional applications in photographic studio conditions and not for household use. The bulb housing isn't hermetically sealed.

Studio Lighting Stands (2 pcs.)
Studio and outdoor, three-section lighting stands. Maximum height of 230cm, working height of 220 cm, convenient section clamps, a 16mm studio head with universal 1/4" thread. The stands are designed for use with small and medium lights as well as lighting kits. They work perfectly in configurations with flashlights and continuous light sources, softboxes, and halogen lamps. Their folded dimensions have been reduced through the use of a telescopic folding mechanism, which doesn't limit their wide range of applications (from 78 to 220 cm, adjustable to any height) or versatility. The leg spread (from foot to foot) is 75cm.
The stands allow Chrome™ Lanterns to be used in most situations encountered in a home studio setting. Their height allows framing from sitting positions up to wide shots of entire rooms.

Chrome™ Lanterns
Lighting a shot is the most important factor that separates professionals from amateurs. To succeed in an era dominated by video productions, we must observe our competition and learn to evaluate images in their best works. Paying attention to details shows that we take our work (or hobby) seriously and respect our viewers. Introducing fill light for backgrounds subtly changes your image, distinguishing professional productions from amateur ones.
Skilful use of studio lights allows equipment to operate in optimal conditions, focuses the viewer's attention on the message conveyed, creates an impression of wide reach and great popularity.
Remember that the art of filming and photography is about creating a more visually appealing reality within your frame. An even greater art is achieving television studio effects at home. CineGEN softboxes, including the Chrome™ Lanterns series, are affordable lights whose skilful use will charm viewers and beat the competition.
- Chrome™ Lanterns have been designed as a complementary light source. When used as a key light, ensure that it doesn't shine directly onto your lens (use a lens hood).
- For wider shots and larger scenes, use several lights to improve propagation.
- Creative effects can be achieved by carefully using lights with different color temperatures.
- In narrow frames, the light acts as contour lighting, giving your image depth.
