Setup Guide
- Unpack the softbox, glass fiber rods, and diffuser fabric from their respective cases.
- From the CGLX4 box, remove the lighting fixture. The outer edge of the fixture (black plastic) has eight holes.
- Insert the glass fiber rods into the openings in the lighting fixture. Ensure you insert them with the thicker end first and push firmly but gently.
- Lay the softbox fabric on the floor, ensuring the black material touches the ground while the silver side faces upward. Keep the Velcro straps open.
- Place the lighting fixture onto the silver surface of the softbox. Insert the thinner ends of the rods into the pockets sewn into each corner of the softbox fabric.
- As you insert more rods, the softbox will begin to stretch and take shape. You may need to apply some force, especially with octagonal softboxes.
- Once assembled, set up the lighting stand and attach the fixture to it. Tighten the butterfly screws and secure the Velcro straps at the back of the softbox fabric.
- Install the bulbs into the sockets on the lighting fixture.
- Attach the diffuser fabric by securing it with the Velcro straps attached to the softbox.
