Here are some tips to keep in mind:
1. Softboxes work best at close range. Position them as close as possible to your subjects or objects, right on the edge of the frame.
2. The larger the softbox diameter, the softer the tonal transition between light and shadow.
3. If you need to illuminate from a distance, remove the diffusive fabric. This will give you even more light.
