How to assemble the SOFTBOX / OCTA Lamp
The lamp will arrive in a package containing: a stand, bulbs, a fixture, and a softbox. Assembly involves several steps:
- Remove the softbox from its cover, along with the tension rods for the softbox and the diffusion fabric. Set the diffusion fabric aside.
- From the box marked CGLX4, take out the lighting fixture. On the outer edge of the fixture (black plastic), you'll find eight holes.
- Insert the glass fiber rods into the holes in the lighting fixture. It's important to insert the rods with their THICKER end into the fixture. They should go in with a slight resistance.
- Place the softbox fabric (the dome) on the floor, ensuring the black material touches the floor and the silver side faces upward. Leave the Velcro straps unfastened.
- Lay the lighting fixture onto the silver surface of the softbox. Insert the thinner ends of the rods into the pockets sewn into the corners of the softbox dome.
- As you insert each rod, the softbox dome will begin to stretch over the bending rods. You may need to apply a small amount of force, especially with octagonal softboxes.
- Once the dome is assembled, set up the lighting stand and attach the fixture to it. Tighten the butterfly screws and fasten the Velcro straps at the back of the dome.
- Secure the bulbs into the fixture.
- Attach the diffusion fabric by fastening it onto the Velcro strips attached to the softbox dome.
