How to assemble the SOFTBOX/OCTA lamp:
- Remove the softbox from its cover, along with the tension rods and diffusion fabric. Set the diffusion fabric aside.
- From the box labeled CGLX4, remove the lighting fixture. On the outer edge of the fixture (black plastic) there are eight holes.
- Insert the glass fiber rods into the openings in the lighting fixture. It's important to insert the thicker end of the rods into the fixture. They should go in with a slight resistance.
- Lay the softbox fabric on the floor so that the black material touches the floor and the silver side faces upward. Leave the Velcro straps unfastened.
- Place the lighting fixture on the silver surface. Insert the thinner ends of the rods into the pockets sewn into the corners of the softbox fabric.
- As you insert each rod, the softbox fabric will begin to stretch over the bending rods. It may be necessary to use a small amount of force, especially with octagonal softboxes.
- After assembling the fabric, set up the lighting stand and attach the fixture to it. Tighten the butterflies and fasten the Velcro straps on the back of the fabric.
- Secure the bulbs in the fixture.
- Attach the diffusion fabric by fastening it onto the Velcro straps attached to the softbox fabric.
