How to assemble the SOFTBOX / OCTA lamp
- Remove the softbox, tension rods, and diffuser fabric from its cover.
- Take out the lighting fixture from the box marked CGLX4. There are eight holes on the outer edge of the fixture (black plastic).
- Insert the glass fiber rods into these openings in the lighting fixture. It's important to insert them with their thicker end first, and they should go in with a slight resistance.
- Lay out the softbox fabric on the floor so that the black material touches the ground while the silver side faces upwards. Keep the Velcro straps unfastened.
- Place the lighting fixture onto this silver surface. Insert the thinner ends of the rods into the pockets sewn into each corner of the softbox fabric.
- As you insert more rods, the softbox fabric will begin to stretch over these bending rods. You may need to apply a small amount of force, especially with octagonal softboxes.
- Once the fabric is assembled, set up the lighting stand and attach the fixture onto it. Tighten the butterfly nuts and fasten the Velcro straps at the back of the fabric.
- Secure the bulbs into the fixture.
- Attach the diffuser fabric by fastening it to the Velcro on the softbox fabric.

CINEGEN®
Digishots Sp. z o.o.
CineGEN® — studio equipment designed by practitioners
CineGEN® is a Polish studio equipment brand we created in 2011 in Janki near Warsaw. We don't have 35 years of tradition or offices on two continents — what we do have is around 40,000 orders with CineGEN® products fulfilled every year and 15 years of working with light, which taught us what actually works in a studio.
The brand was born for a simple reason: selling other people's equipment, we too often had to explain flaws we had no control over. We preferred taking responsibility to making excuses — so we started building our own.
How we work
Specifications and part of the designs are created in Poland; manufacturing takes place in China, under our supervision. We say this openly, because that's how studio equipment is made all over the world today. The difference lies in who sets the requirements and who answers for the result: every batch arrives at our warehouse in Janki, where we inspect it, and before a product enters our catalogue, we work with it ourselves — on packshots, portraits and video shoots.
Our product descriptions state real parameters and real limitations. A 200 PLN lamp won't replace a 2,000 PLN kit — and we won't pretend otherwise.
What you'll find under the CineGEN® brand
Continuous lighting (FlatLight™, Lumifi™, ReLed™, Ensö™ panels with CRI >95), Ignitix™ photographic bulbs, softboxes and light modifiers, lighting, photo and video stands and tripods (including the Jupiter™ series), and home studio kits.
What we stand behind
CineGEN® is a trademark protected at the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland (application Z.574925, rights held by Digishots Sp. z o.o.).
Warranty service and spare parts are handled at our facility in Janki — no shipping your gear "back to the manufacturer".
You can see the equipment in person at our location in Janki (ul. Poniatowskiego 17), and you'll find tests and tutorials on the digishots.pl blog and the CineGEN YouTube channel.
