How to Assemble the SOFTBOX Lamp
- Remove the softbox, tension rods, and diffusion fabric from its cover. Set aside the diffusion fabric.
- From the CGLX4-marked box, remove the lighting fixture. Eight holes are located on the outer edge of the fixture (black plastic).
- Insert the glass fiber rods into the openings in the lighting fixture. It's crucial to insert the thicker end of the rods into the fixture. They should go in with a little resistance.
- Place the softbox fabric on the floor so that the black material touches the ground and the silver side faces upward. Leave the Velcro straps unfastened.
- Lay the lighting fixture on top of the silver surface. Insert the thinner ends of the rods into the pockets sewn into the corners of the softbox shell.
- As you insert more rods, the softbox shell will begin to stretch over the bending rods. It may be necessary to use a little force, especially with octagonal softboxes.
- After assembling the shell, set up the lighting tripod and secure it on top of the fixture. Tighten the butterflies and fasten the Velcro straps at the back of the shell.
- Secure the bulbs in the fixture.
- Attach the diffusion fabric to the shell by fastening it with the Velcro strips.

CineGEN® is a Polish studio equipment brand we created in 2011 in Janki near Warsaw. We don't have 35 years of tradition or offices on two continents — what we do have is around 40,000 orders with CineGEN® products fulfilled every year and 15 years of working with light, which taught us what actually works in a studio.
The brand was born for a simple reason: selling other people's equipment, we too often had to explain flaws we had no control over. We preferred taking responsibility to making excuses — so we started building our own.
How we work
Specifications and part of the designs are created in Poland; manufacturing takes place in China, under our supervision. We say this openly, because that's how studio equipment is made all over the world today. The difference lies in who sets the requirements and who answers for the result: every batch arrives at our warehouse in Janki, where we inspect it, and before a product enters our catalogue, we work with it ourselves — on packshots, portraits and video shoots.
Our product descriptions state real parameters and real limitations. A 200 PLN lamp won't replace a 2,000 PLN kit — and we won't pretend otherwise.
