How to Assemble the Softbox:
- Remove the softbox, tension rods, and diffusion fabric from their respective cases.
- Take out the lighting fixture from the box labeled CGLX4. You'll notice eight holes on the outer edge of the fixture (black plastic).
- Insert the glass fiber rods into these openings in the lighting fixture. Ensure you insert them with the thicker end first, and they should go in with a slight resistance.
- Lay out the softbox fabric on the floor so that the black material touches the ground while the silver side faces upward. Keep the Velcro straps open for now.
- Place the lighting fixture onto the silver surface of the softbox. Insert the thinner ends of the rods into the pockets sewn into the corners of the softbox fabric.
- As you insert more rods, the softbox fabric will start to stretch over these bending rods. You may need to apply a little force, especially with octagonal softboxes.
- Once assembled, set up your lighting stand and attach the fixture onto it. Tighten the butterfly screws and fasten the Velcro straps at the back of the softbox fabric.
- Secure the bulbs into the fixture.
- Attach the diffusion fabric to the softbox by fastening it with the Velcro straps.
