How to assemble a SOFTBOX lamp
The lamp will arrive at your address packaged separately with the stand, bulbs, fixture and softbox. Assembly of the lamp consists of several steps:
- Remove the softbox from its cover, the rods for stretching the softbox and the diffusion fabric. Set aside the diffusion fabric.
- From the box marked CGLX4 remove the lighting fixture. On the outer edge of the fixture (black plastic) there are eight holes.
- Insert the glass fiber rods into the openings in the light fixture. It is important to insert the thicker end of the rods into the fixture. They should go in with some resistance.
- Lay the fabric (dome) of the softbox on the floor so that the black material touches the floor and the silver side faces upward. Leave the Velcro straps unfastened.
- Place the lighting fixture on the silver surface. Insert the thinner ends of the rods into the pockets sewn into the corners of the softbox dome.
- As you insert each rod, the softbox dome will begin to stretch over the bending rods. It may be necessary to use a small amount of force, especially with octagonal softboxes.
- After assembling the dome, set up the lighting stand and attach the fixture to it. Tighten the butterfly nuts and fasten the Velcro straps on the back of the dome.
- Secure the bulbs in the fixture.
- Put the diffusion fabric over the dome by fastening it with the Velcro straps.
