Softboxes are a fundamental element of photographic studio equipment. They are used to modify the properties of light: the size of the luminous surface, intensity, and direction of light. Recently, they have gained increasing popularity in video productions. Softboxes soften the light, reducing or eliminating shadows.
Lighting Fixture
This presented fixture is a high-quality, functional softbox suitable for both flash bulbs and continuous light bulbs with an E27 thread.
The softbox bowl - measuring 50x70cm - is lined on the inside with embossed silver material: light is evenly distributed within the softbox, ensuring consistent power across the entire surface of the front diffuser without any weakening of intensity from the center to the edges.
The exterior of the softbox is matte black, preventing it from reflecting light from other lamps. It comes equipped with a standard mounting for a lighting stand.
Folding/unfolding this presented softbox is exceptionally simple. When folded, it takes up little space and is highly mobile. The high-quality materials used in the softbox guarantee trouble-free operation for years. It's designed to ensure safe use with fluorescent bulbs.
Lighting Fixture Rear Panel
Controlling the lamp is very simple and limited to two switches that turn on either the left or right pair of lamps. A 3A fuse is located in the socket marked "FUSE." In the central part, there's an opening for mounting an optional umbrella.

CGLS-802 Studio Lighting Stand
A lightweight, studio and outdoor three-section lighting stand. Maximum height of 230cm, working height of 220 cm, comfortable section clamps, a 16mm studio head with universal 1/4" thread. The stand is designed for use with small and medium lamps as well as lighting kits. It also works great in configurations with flash and continuous light bulbs, softboxes, and halogen lamps.
Its dimensions when folded have been reduced by the application of a telescopic folding mechanism, thus not limiting its wide range of work (ranging from 78 to 220 cm, adjustable smoothly at any height) and versatility. The leg spread (from base to base) is 75cm.

Can I use the softbox for filming?
Absolutely. Recently, we've been observing an increasing overlap of applications reserved for photography in the world of film. The SOFTBOX 50x70cm lighting fixture is a perfect alternative to budget panel lamp versions (so-called kinoflo). The cost of such a solution is significantly lower while achieving the same effect.
What should you remember?
- Softboxes work best at short distances. Place them as close to the illuminated person or object, right on the edge of the frame.
- The larger the softbox diameter, the softer the tonal transition between light and shadow.
- If you need to illuminate from a long distance - remove the diffusive fabric. You'll then get even more light.

How to assemble the SOFTBOX lamp?
The lamp will arrive in a package containing: separately, the stand, bulbs, fixture, and softbox. Assembling the lamp involves several steps:
- Remove the softbox from its cover, the tension rods for the softbox, and the diffusive fabric. Set aside the diffusive fabric.
- From the box marked CGLX4, remove the lighting fixture. On the outer edge of the fixture (black plastic), there are eight holes.
- Insert the glass fiber rods into the openings in the lighting fixture. It's important to insert the thicker end of the rod into the fixture. They should go in with a slight resistance.
- Lay the softbox fabric on the floor so that the black material touches the floor, and the silver side faces upward. Leave the Velcro straps unfastened.
- Place the lighting fixture on the silver surface. Insert the thinner ends of the rods into the pockets sewn into the corners of the softbox bowl.
- As you insert more rods, the softbox bowl will start to stretch over the bending rods. It may be necessary to use a small amount of force, especially with octagonal softboxes.
- After assembling the bowl, spread out the lighting stand and attach the fixture to it. Tighten the butterflies and fasten the Velcro straps at the back of the bowl.
- Secure the bulbs in the fixture.
- Place the diffusive fabric over the softbox, securing it with the Velcro straps.
