Softbox 2.0
The lighting fixture consists of a solid housing for four E27 bulbs and a precisely designed softbox dome. The dome has been carefully shaped to ensure maximum light direction onto the diffusion fabric.
The softbox is made from high-quality materials selected for their thermal resistance and ability to effectively reflect light. The inner layer has a silver, metallized reflective surface that eliminates light scattering to the sides while directing it towards the diffusion fabric. This ensures that the maximum possible amount of light reaches the photographed object. The external matte black softbox surface effectively eliminates reflections from other sources.
Velcro straps placed at the edge of the mounting opening facilitate hassle-free attachment of rods in the fixture. The softbox has been adapted to work with four bulbs with a maximum combined power of 200W. The system allows for stepped power adjustment by individually turning on/off pairs of bulbs (two options: 0%, 50%, 100%). Mounting on lighting stands is exceptionally easy thanks to the special handle, which enables any angle adjustment.
Lumilux™ lamps come in various shapes and sizes depending on your needs: square (CGLX-4401L1, CGLX-6601L1), rectangular (CGLX-5701L1, CGLX-6901L1), and octagonal (CGLX-O601L1, CGLX-O801L1, CGLX-O901L1).

Studio Stand

- Height adjustable for various applications: With a maximum height of 230 cm and working height of 220 cm, the stand is universal and suitable for different conditions. The comfortable section clamps allow for quick height adjustment to suit your needs.
- Versatility in collaboration with different light sources: The CGLS-802 stand is designed to work both with small and medium lamps as well as lighting sets. Its versatility makes it an excellent companion for flash and continuous lights, softboxes, and RedHead halogen lamps.
- Telescopic folding mechanism: Using a telescopic folding mechanism allows the stand to be folded compactly when not in use. This is especially important when storage space is limited.
- Smooth height adjustment to any level: The stand is easily adjustable, allowing for smooth height adjustments from 78 to 220 cm. This flexibility means the CGLS-802 stand can be used in various conditions and adapt to specific situations.
- Leg spread providing stability: With a leg spread of 75 cm, the stand ensures stability even when using larger lamps or lighting sets. This is an important feature, especially in dynamic outdoor conditions.
- Compatibility with various accessories: The stand works great on its own but also shines when paired with different accessories such as softboxes or halogen lamps. This means you can develop your photographic skills by experimenting with different light sources.

How to Assemble SOFTBOX / OCTA Lamp:
- Remove the softbox from its cover, the tension rods for the softbox, and the diffusion fabric. Set aside the diffusion fabric.
- From the box marked CGLX4, remove the lighting fixture. On the outer edge of the fixture (black plastic), there are eight openings.
- Insert the glass fiber rods into the openings in the lighting fixture, ensuring that you insert the thicker end of the rod into the fixture. They should go in with a slight resistance.
- Place the softbox fabric on the floor so that the black material touches the floor and the silver side faces up. Leave the Velcro straps unfastened.
- Place the lighting fixture on the silver surface. Insert the thinner ends of the rods into the pockets sewn in the corners of the softbox dome.
- As you insert more rods, the softbox dome will start to stretch over the bending rods. It may be necessary to use a little force, especially with octagonal softboxes.
- Once the dome is assembled, set up the lighting stand and attach the fixture to it. Tighten the butterflies and fasten the Velcro straps at the back of the dome.
- Insert bulbs into the fixture.
- Attach the diffusion fabric by pinning it onto the Velcro straps on the dome.
Can I use a softbox for filming?
Absolutely. Recently, we've been seeing more and more crossover between applications reserved for photography in the world of film. The SOFTBOX constant light fixture is an excellent alternative to budget panel lamp versions (so-called kinoflo). The cost of such a solution is significantly lower while achieving the same effect.
What's the difference between an octagonal softbox and a rectangular one?
The easiest way to notice the difference is by looking at the shape of reflections on reflective surfaces. This is especially noticeable in portrait and fashion photography - the octagonal shape, similar to circular, mimics solar reflections. Octagonal softboxes also have better light distribution (especially when lighting from the front).
What should you remember?
- Softboxes work best at short distances. Place them as close as possible to the people or objects being lit, right on the edge of the frame.
- The larger the softbox diameter, the softer the tonal transition between light and shadow.
- If you need to shine from a long distance - remove the diffusion fabric. This way, you'll get even more light.
