The SoftTop™ Lanterns studio light set is an excellent way to illuminate your scene. The SoftTop™ Lanterns emit soft, natural light, dispersing it evenly in all directions. The idea for these lights comes directly from film sets, where spherical softboxes are commonly used. They are employed to fill shadows in the background, improve color accuracy, enhance image plasticity and tonal dynamics. These lights are perfect for filming indoors as a "filling" light with gentle intensity.
Based on professional film set experiences, CineGEN® has created these lamps, which feature a hemispherical light modifier - the Helio™ 60 softbox. Most of the reflector's surface is replaced by diffusing fabric, changing how light propagates and ultimately illuminates. The Helio™ softboxes create vast, soft areas of light with gentler intensity compared to classic octaboxes of the same power.
The light has a 360° distribution with a relatively large light source size. The lamp's height allows you to use the ceiling as a natural reflector.
The SoftTop™ Lanterns lights complement lighting in distant scenes perfectly. Often, especially in amateur video, we see a frame with the foreground well-lit (usually a face) and the background underexposed (the interior of a room). Placing the SoftTop™ Lanterns light in the background allows you to illuminate it while also highlighting the foreground through contour lighting (hairlight, three-point lighting, movie look).
Adding the SoftTop™ Lanterns lights improves tonal dynamics and image quality. It enables lower sensitivities during digital recording, enhances plasticity and color accuracy.
Helio™ 60 Softboxes (2 pcs.)
The Helio™ is a surprisingly effective adaptation of professional spherical softboxes. Its genius lies in utilizing an existing and proven solution - the integrated octagonal softbox - to create a modifier with the properties of a completely different fixture: a spherical softbox.
As a result, you get a professional light at an unbeatable price for classic construction. The lamp's assembly is also simple, just like unfolding a studio umbrella, saving valuable time. The diffusing fabric provides good light dispersion while reducing intensity slightly.
The Helio™ 60 has a classic E27 bulb fitting and a mounting socket for lighting stands (most studio stands will fit). You can use low-temperature photo fluorescent lamps or LED bulbs in the softbox (closed fixture).
The SoftTop™ Lanterns set already includes appropriately matched bulbs and studio stands.
PureLight 85W Photo Bulbs (2 pcs.)
The bulbs used in these lights are specialized fluorescent lamps for photographic and video applications. PureLight bulbs have a standardized color temperature of 5500K (neutral). The bulb generates light with an ideal color for photographic and video use, avoiding any color distortion.
Thanks to its natural color rendering, the bulb is perfect for photographers working under constant lighting conditions. Using constant lighting allows you to model light faster and better predict the final result on your photos. Its low power consumption enables using this bulb in both open fixtures and partially closed ones (softboxes, diffusers, octaboxes). The generated light stream, obtained after around 90 seconds of turning it on, is 5000 lumens, which corresponds approximately to a 400W halogen bulb.

Studio Lighting Stands (2 pcs.)
These studio and outdoor lighting stands are three-sectional, with a maximum height of 210cm and a working height of 200 cm. They feature comfortable section clamps and a 16mm studio head with a universal 1/4" thread. The stands are designed for use with small and medium lights and lighting sets.
They work perfectly in configurations with flashlights, constant lights, softboxes, and halogen lamps. Their dimensions after folding have been reduced by using a telescopic folding mechanism, which doesn't limit their wide range of operation (ranging from 78 to 210 cm, adjustable smoothly at any height) or the universality of applications.
