A softbox is a type of lighting used mainly in photography and filming. It's a special light source designed to provide soft, even, and balanced illumination for the object or model being photographed. The softbox consists of a reflective light dome with either a flash lamp or continuous light mounted inside.

The high-quality SOFTBOX fixture integrated with an E27 socket is ideal for both flash bulbs and continuous light bulbs. The dome has been finished inside with silver material, guaranteeing optimal light diffusion. The softbox lamp provides even distribution of light throughout the interior while maintaining uniform power on the diffuser surface.

The matte black outer surface of the softbox effectively eliminates reflections from other lamps, making it an ideal tool for professional photography. The unfolding and folding process is extremely simple, and when folded, the softbox takes up minimal space, facilitating storage and transport.

Unfolding/Folding of this softbox is exceptionally easy, and when folded, it occupies little space and is very mobile. The high-quality materials used in the softbox guarantee trouble-free operation for years. They are designed and made to ensure safe use with bulbs.

Lightweight, studio and outdoor three-section lighting tripod. Maximum height 230cm, convenient section clamps, 16mm studio head with universal 1/4" thread. The tripod is designed to work with small and medium lamps as well as lighting sets. It works great in a configuration with flash lights and continuous light, softboxes, RedHead halogen lamps.

Its dimensions after folding have been reduced by using a telescopic folding mechanism, thus not limiting the wide range of operation (ranging from 78 to 230 cm, adjustable smoothly at any height) and universality of applications. Leg spread (from foot to foot) is 75cm.

Can I use a softbox for filming?

Absolutely. Recently, we've been seeing more and more crossover of applications reserved for photography into the world of film. The constant light fixture SOFTBOX OCTA 90cm is an excellent alternative to budget panel lamp versions (so-called kinoflo). The cost of such a solution is significantly lower while achieving the same effect.

What's the difference between an octagonal softbox and a rectangular one?

The easiest way to spot the difference is by looking at the shape of reflections on reflective surfaces. This is especially noticeable in portrait and fashion photography - the octagonal shape, similar to circular, mimics solar reflections. Octagonal softboxes also feature better light distribution (especially when lighting from the front).

What should you keep in mind?

1. Softboxes work best at short distances. Place them as close as possible to the people or objects being lit, right on the edge of the frame.
2. The larger the softbox diameter, the softer the tonal transition between light and shadow.
3. If you need to shine from a long distance - remove the diffusive fabric. You'll get even more light then.
