Can I use a softbox for filming?
Absolutely! Recently, we've been observing an increasing crossover of applications reserved for photography into the world of film. The SOFTBOX 40x40 cm constant light fixture serves as an excellent alternative to budget panel lamp versions (so-called kinoflo). The cost of such a solution is significantly lower, yet it achieves the same effect.
What should you keep in mind?
- Softboxes work best at short distances. Place them as close as possible to illuminated people or objects, right on the edge of the frame.
- The larger the softbox diameter, the softer the tonal transition between light and shadow.
- If you need to shine from a long distance - remove the diffusive fabric. You'll then get even more light.
