Based on professional film set experiences, CineGEN has created lamps with a semi-spherical light modifier at their core - the Helio™ 60 softbox. Most of the reflector's surface has been replaced with diffusing fabric. This changes how the light is propagated and, as a result, how it illuminates. The Helio™ creates an extensive, soft area of light with a gentler intensity compared to a classic octobox of the same power. The light distribution is omnidirectional (360°), with a relatively large source size. The lamp's height allows you to use the ceiling as a natural reflector.

The light from Chrome™ Lanterns complements background lighting perfectly. Often, especially in amateur video, we see a shot where the foreground is well-lit (usually a face) and the background is underexposed (the interior of a room). Chrome™ Lanterns placed in the background allow you to simultaneously illuminate it while highlighting the foreground through contour lighting (hairlight, three-point lighting, movie look).

Adding Chrome™ Lanterns improves the tonal dynamics of an image, thus increasing its quality (and indirectly boosting throughput when recording digitally). It allows for lower sensitivities and enhances plasticity and color accuracy.

Helio™ is a surprisingly effective adaptation of professional spherical softboxes. Its genius and simplicity lie in utilizing an existing, proven solution - the integrated octagonal softbox - to create a modifier with the properties of a completely different fixture: a spherical softbox. As a result, you get a professional lamp at a price that's unattainable for traditional designs. Assembly is also quick and easy, just like setting up a studio umbrella, saving valuable time. The diffusing fabric provides good light dispersion while only slightly reducing brightness.

Helio™ 60 has a classic E27 bulb fitting and a mounting socket for lighting stands (most studio stands will fit). You can use low-temperature photo fluorescent lights or LED bulbs in the softbox (closed fixture).

The Chrome™ Lanterns kit already includes appropriately matched bulbs and studio stands.

Remotely controlled LED bulbs with adjustable color temperature and brightness, designed for photographic and cinematic applications. They allow remote control even when mounted in softbox fixtures. Efficient aluminum radiators provide silent passive cooling, allowing the use of these bulbs during film recording with sound.

The variable color temperature is achieved using a classic method known from on-camera lights - by mounting a chessboard of luminescent diodes with two different color temperatures. This solution has an additional advantage: shifts in the spectrum of individual diodes increase the effective color rendering for the entire bulb. The range of color temperatures goes from 3600K to 6200K. The high luminous efficiency of the bulb means that, despite low active power consumption, we achieve very high luminance comparable to 300-watt bulbs.

The LED arrays are protected by a light-diffusing cover with an area of 112cm², ensuring pleasant, soft light distribution regardless of intensity. At short distances, the softening effect can match that of a softbox or beauty dish lamp. The bulb produces very nice, relatively large reflections.

The generated light is continuous without flickering, enabling filming at higher frame rates. The bulb is designed for indoor use, with an IP20 protection class. It's intended for professional applications in photographic studio conditions and not for household use. The bulb housing is not hermetically sealed.

Three-section studio and outdoor lighting stands with a maximum height of 210cm, working height of 200 cm, comfortable section clamps, and a 16mm studio head with a universal 1/4" thread. These stands are designed for use with small and medium lamps as well as lighting kits. They work excellently in configurations with flash and continuous lights, softboxes, and halogen lamps. Their compact size when folded is achieved through the use of a telescopic folding mechanism, which doesn't limit their wide range of applications (from 78 to 210 cm, adjustable smoothly at any height). The leg spread (from foot to foot) is 75cm.

These stands allow you to work with Chrome™ Lanterns in most situations encountered in a home studio. The height allows framing from seated positions up to wide shots of an entire room.
