It does not introduce any color bias and provides accurate color reproduction, making it ideal for photographers who require precise color representation in their work. The lamp arrives disassembled, with the softbox, glass fiber rods, diffusion fabric, and lighting fixture packaged separately. Assembly involves inserting the rods into eight openings on the outer edge of the lighting fixture (black plastic), ensuring that the thicker ends are inserted first to achieve a snug fit. The silver side of the softbox is placed face-up on the floor, with its black material touching the ground, while the diffusion fabric is set aside for now. Next, lay the lighting fixture onto the silver surface and insert the thinner ends of the rods into the pockets sewn into the corners of the softbox shell. As you continue to insert the remaining rods, the softbox will begin to stretch over the bending rods, which may require some force, especially with octagonal softboxes. Once the softbox is assembled, set up the lighting stand and attach the fixture to it. Tighten the butterfly screws and secure the Velcro straps at the back of the shell. Finally, insert the light bulbs into the fixture and place the diffusion fabric over the softbox, fastening it with the Velcro straps.
