The dome has been finished inside with silver material, ensuring optimal light diffusion. Absolutely. Recently, we've been observing an increasing overlap of applications reserved for photography in the world of film. The constant light fixture SOFTBOX OCTA 60cm serves as an excellent alternative to budget-friendly panel lamp versions (so-called kinoflo). The cost of such a solution is significantly lower, yet it achieves the same effect.
The difference that's easiest to spot is the shape of reflections on reflective surfaces. This is particularly noticeable in portrait and fashion photography - the octagonal shape resembling a circle mimics solar reflections. Octagonal softboxes also feature better light distribution (especially when lighting from the front).

Digishots Sp. z o.o.
CineGEN® is a Polish studio equipment brand we created in 2011 in Janki near Warsaw. We don't have 35 years of tradition or offices on two continents — what we do have is around 40,000 orders with CineGEN® products fulfilled every year and 15 years of working with light, which taught us what actually works in a studio.
The brand was born for a simple reason: selling other people's equipment, we too often had to explain flaws we had no control over. We preferred taking responsibility to making excuses — so we started building our own.
Specifications and part of the designs are created in Poland; manufacturing takes place in China, under our supervision. We say this openly, because that's how studio equipment is made all over the world today. The difference lies in who sets the requirements and who answers for the result: every batch arrives at our warehouse in Janki, where we inspect it, and before a product enters our catalogue, we work with it ourselves — on packshots, portraits and video shoots.
Our product descriptions state real parameters and real limitations. A 200 PLN lamp won't replace a 2,000 PLN kit — and we won't pretend otherwise.
