The Motive CG-3900 tripod is a high-quality tripod for video cameras and DSLR cameras. Made from lightweight yet rigid metal alloys, it will work reliably for years. The perfectly smooth head movement ensures a gentle start and stop of the shot. An additional advantage is the ability to mount a control handle on either the left or right side of the tripod - this is a nod by the manufacturer towards both right-handed and left-handed photographers. The tripod has been awarded five stars by DigiShots sellers.
Tripod:
Built based on professional standards. The highly durable base of the tripod consists of three independently adjustable sections. Each leg is made from double, thickened tubes of oxidized aluminum, making the tripod rigid and stable while still lightweight for transport. Each section can be locked independently at any height thanks to the "Lock&Loose™" system. The section clamps are made entirely from metal. The legs of the tripod end in anti-slip rubber feet that stably hold the tripod on any type of surface. The working height range of the tripod is from 81 cm to 179 cm.
Head:
The oil head is excellently crafted and mounted on a 65 mm leveling hemisphere. Two tilt bearings, enclosed in a sealed, integrated cassette, allow tilting within the range of -80° to +95°. The head has an auto-return function that prevents it from dropping unexpectedly. An additional panorama (rotation) bearing ensures smooth, fluid rotation over the full 360° range. The head operates with a medium-large, pleasant resistance, providing a gentle start and stop of the shot. The quick release plate (45mm x 120mm) is equipped with 1/4 and 3/8 inch mounting screws. The head has typical protection against uncontrolled extension of the quick release plate. You can comfortably operate the head using the handle, which is suitable for both right-handed and left-handed people. The head is also equipped with a spirit level.
