BikeShell™ 420DPU by Ringmehr® is a cover based on internally impregnated synthetic polypropylene fabric. It shields your precious equipment from rain and snow, extending its lifespan and ensuring proper functionality. It also helps protect the paintwork of your bicycle or motorcycle during storage.

Double fastening at the bottom, two accessory openings allow for mounting anti-theft security on the covered equipment.

The internal impregnation contains additional substances that absorb ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Storing a vehicle in this cover extends the lifespan of tire rubber and plastic components by protecting them from UV radiation.

Atmospheric Precipitation (rain, snow)
Protection from atmospheric conditions due to the water-resistant material prevents metal components of the vehicle from premature corrosion caused by moisture.
Dust, Renovation Dust
Covering the vehicle during storage protects it from dust and debris, which is crucial when preparing for a ride at the beginning of the season. Lubricated parts are also shielded from dust and debris, requiring no cleaning, while lubricating materials retain their nominal properties for longer.
UV Radiation
Ultraviolet radiation under prolonged exposure has a degrading effect on the paintwork (color durability), tire rubber (cracking of rubber surfaces), as well as the longevity and coloration of plastic components. Therefore, when storing vehicles in sunny locations, it's advisable to use covers with UV-filtering additives.
Bio (leaves, bird droppings)
Biological material, when decomposing, creates unsightly spots or discoloration on the vehicle surface. Bird droppings have a destructive effect on painted surfaces of the vehicle.
Discretion in Transport

Cover for bicycles / motorcycles

Transport

When using the cover during transport of a bicycle or motorcycle, take extra caution due to increased air resistance. Please note that a vehicle with a cover creates greater aerodynamic drag - this is especially relevant for bicycles.

Use covers exclusively in the "aerodynamic shadow" - behind the vehicle (mounting on a hitch, mounting on a rack behind a camping trailer, etc.)
Do not use the cover during transport in roof-mounted racks or cargo trailers. Such installation can lead to damage of the cover and, in extreme cases, cause a road accident.
When transporting a bicycle on a hitch-mounted rack or behind a camping trailer, drive at a lower speed within the range specified in your car's manual. It is advisable to use additional compression straps (not included in this offer).

Temperature

The cover is made of polyester and does not provide fire resistance or protection against high temperatures.

When storing motorcycles, wait until the exhaust system and engine have completely cooled down. Putting a cover on a hot motorcycle can lead to damage of the cover and, in extreme cases, cause a fire!
Do not light bonfires or use grills near vehicles covered with BikeShell™ covers. Also, avoid any work involving open flames.
When mounting on a hitch-mounted rack, ensure that the cover does not come into contact with your car's exhaust pipe.
