A softbox is a type of lighting used primarily in photography and filming. It's a special light source designed to provide soft, even, and balanced illumination for objects or models. The softbox consists of a reflective light dome with a flash lamp or continuous light mounted inside.

The main function of the softbox is to diffuse light, eliminating harsh shadows that can occur when using direct light sources like flashbulbs. This allows photographers and filmmakers to achieve more gentle and natural lighting effects, especially when portraying people or photographing products.

Softboxes are widely used in photography studios and come in various sizes and shapes.

What can you use it for:

☑️ Main or supplementary light in portraits

☑️ Supplementary light in nudes, fashion photography

☑️ Supplementary light in wider frames

☑️ Children's photography

☑️ Product photography

☑️ Film studio, film set (close-ups, interviews)

✅ 60x60 cm Softboxes

High-quality SOFTBOX fixtures integrated with E27 sockets, ideal for both flash bulbs and continuous light bulbs. The domes are finished inside with silver material, ensuring optimal light diffusion. The softbox lamps provide an even distribution of light throughout the interior while maintaining uniform power on the diffuser surface.

The matte black outer surface of the softboxes effectively eliminates reflections from other lights, making them ideal tools for professional photography. The unfolding and folding process is incredibly simple, and when folded, the softbox takes up minimal space, facilitating storage and transport.

✅ Studio Stands

The CGLS-801 stand is characterized by a solid construction made of lightweight material, making it easy to carry and maneuver on location. The tripod head equipped with a 16mm shaft allows for stable mounting of various lighting types, providing flexibility in work.

An advanced height adjustment mechanism allows the stand to be adapted to different scenarios, enabling work at varying levels. It is easy to operate thanks to its quick and smooth height adjustment, speeding up preparation before sessions.

The CGLS-801 stand remains stable even under heavier loads, making it an indispensable tool in a photography studio or during outdoor shoots. Its sturdy construction ensures confidence that the lighting equipment will be safe and stable throughout the work.

This model also stands out for its compact size when folded, facilitating storage and transport. The foldable CGLS-801 stand takes up minimal space, making it an ideal travel companion for professionals who often work on location.

✅ Photo Bulbs (85W/5500K)

New generation photographic bulbs

Advanced LED Ignitix™ bulbs combine excellent quality with energy efficiency. Thanks to innovative technology, they offer incredibly even and natural light, replacing traditional 85W bulbs while consuming impressively low amounts of energy. Their eco-friendly nature makes them environmentally friendly while also contributing to lower electricity costs.

Ignitix™ bulbs stand out for their long lifespan, eliminating the need for frequent bulb replacements. Additionally, due to high energy efficiency, they reduce carbon dioxide emissions. They are compatible with various types of fixtures, making it easy to integrate them into existing softboxes. These bulbs emit light at a color temperature that reproduces colors naturally, which is extremely important when working on artistic, portrait, or product photography.

Can I use a softbox for filming?

Absolutely! Recently, we've been seeing more and more crossover of photography applications into the world of film. The continuous light fixture SOFTBOX 60x60 cm is an excellent alternative to budget panel lamp versions (so-called kinoflo). The cost of such a solution is significantly lower while achieving the same effect.

What should you keep in mind?

1. Softboxes work best at short distances. Place them as close as possible to the illuminated people or objects, right on the edge of the frame.
2. The larger the softbox diameter, the softer the tonal transition between light and shadow.
3. If you need to shine from a long distance - remove the diffusive fabric. You will then get even more light.
