The CineGEN® CG-2881 NEWTON™ series tripod is designed for filming with DSLRs and video cameras weighing up to 10kg. The well-functioning video head allows for smooth and repeatable shots. This tripod belongs to the photo-video category, but its forte is filming. Unmatched in terms of value for money - a revelation.
Tripod
The telescopically foldable, three-section tripod allows for stable positioning. Rubber feet mounted on ball joints adapt to uneven terrain. The built-in spirit level in the tripod's housing helps assess its stability. The tripod sections are adjusted using classic, proven clamps from other models. The legs are made of thick aluminum profiles with a cross-section chosen to increase stiffness. All this results in unmatched stability for this class. Additionally, the central column ends at the height of the middle tripod joint with a hook that allows for additional weighting during filming or photography sessions.
An additional handle on the shaft enables repositioning the tripod, and foam leg protectors prevent contact with cold metal on chilly days. The shaft features a crank-operated mechanism for precise height adjustment. The extended shaft's height is 39.5cm. This tripod outperforms other models in its category regarding stability and maximum height of 1.8m (excellent for filming outdoor events, groups of people, etc.).
Head
The head's primary components are made of plastic, yet the large bearing cassette ensures it operates with great precision, smoothly and stably, giving the impression of working with high-end equipment. The large quick release plate allows for a solid and stable mounting of cameras or DSLRs. The standard 1/4" screw enables the installation of most cameras and DSLRs on the market. The head handle ends in a sturdy foam grip. The head can be disassembled and used for work on sliders, cranes, or dollies. It is equipped with a standard mounting hole (hole at the bottom of the head) 3/8".
