The lighting used in this kit is classic studio continuous lighting - single-bulb softbox lamps on lighting stands. The softboxes are equipped with PureLight™ photographic bulbs with standardized parameters (color temperature of 5500K and color rendering index CRI >90). Softboxes are a basic element of the photographic studio, used to change light properties such as size of glowing surface, intensity and direction of light. These types of lamps are increasingly popular in video productions. They also serve as an excellent alternative to kinoflo lights.

Softboxes soften tonal transitions between light and shadow. Light is evenly distributed within the softbox and maintains consistent power across the entire diffuser surface. The exterior of the softbox is matte black, preventing reflection of other lamps' light. Folding and unfolding is exceptionally simple, and when folded, the softbox takes up very little space. High-quality materials ensure trouble-free operation for years. Designed and manufactured to guarantee safe use with fluorescent bulbs.

The BaseXStudio™ kits use a minimum of 2 lamps due to mutual shadow compensation - one lamp serves as the main light, while the other acts as fill light. The power of the used bulbs is specified in the technical specifications (below).

This kit includes 2 lamps for mutual shadow compensation - one lamp serves as the main light, while the other acts as fill light. The fixture's dome is finished with silver material. Light is evenly distributed within the softbox and maintains consistent power across the entire diffuser surface. The exterior of the softbox is matte black, preventing reflection of other lamps' light.

The lamps are equipped with PureLight™ photographic bulbs with an E27 base and standardized parameters (neutral color temperature of 5500K and color rendering index CRI >90). Thanks to the natural color reproduction, the bulb does not introduce any color distortions. The generated light stream, achieved after approximately 90 seconds from turning on, is 3900 lumens and corresponds (approximately) to a 325W halogen bulb.
Folding and unfolding of the softbox is exceptionally simple, and when folded, it takes up very little space. High-quality materials ensure trouble-free operation for years.

The maximum height of a single stand is 210cm. The recommended working height is 200 cm. The stand has convenient section clamps and a 16mm studio head with a universal 1/4" thread.
The telescopic mechanism provides a wide range of stand operation (78-210 cm, adjustable to any height) as well as versatility in applications. The leg spread (from foot to foot) is 75cm.
These stands work perfectly not only with softboxes but also with flash and continuous lights, halogen lamps.

The background hanging set consists of two CGLS-816B studio stands and a foldable two-part beam attached to them. The frame allows for the suspension of various photographic backgrounds (cardboard, vinyl or fabric) up to 5 kg in weight and with a maximum width of 165 cm. Backgrounds can be hung at heights ranging from 83 cm to 205 cm.
The beam is attached to the stands using butterfly nuts, which prevents it from lifting when raising the background upwards. The unrolling of the background from the roll is blocked by inserting two handles (frogs) included in the kit.

This lightweight and economical photographic background made of polypropylene fabric ensures high durability and resistance to studio conditions such as spills, creases or tears. The cardboard roll protects against creases during transport or storage. Potential creases can be easily removed by steaming the background or wetting it.

The width and length of the fabric on the roll is sufficient to create a full background without folds (cyclorama) for photographing silhouettes. The perforated texture of the background minimizes reflections from strong light sources.

Note regarding material texture - people who are new to polypropylene photographic backgrounds may worry that the background's texture will be visible in photos. In real-life conditions, objects remain approximately 50 cm away from the background, which combined with shallow depth of field causes the background texture to become blurred.

Note regarding material texture - people who are new to polypropylene photographic backgrounds may worry that the background's texture will be visible in photos. In real-life conditions, objects remain approximately 50 cm away from the background, which combined with shallow depth of field causes the background texture to become blurred. Using an aperture below 8 ensures that the background structure is invisible.

Choosing Lighting Power

When selecting lighting for a photographic studio, it's important to ensure the right amount of light needed for your intended purpose. The Home Photographic Studio kits may include (depending on the version) from 2 to 16 bulbs.

• Inanimate objects do not require strong light.
  If you are photographing an inanimate object, you can freely use single-bulb lamps. In product photography, exposure time is arbitrary and can always be adjusted for proper exposure. A tripod will come in handy.
  
• Be cautious with people (and animals).
  When taking photos of people or animals, the exposure time is limited. Especially when photographing children or active pets, a significantly larger amount of light is required. Single-bulb lamps will suffice at short distances (around 0.5 m).
  
• The wider the frame - the more bulbs.
  It can be assumed that for portraits, two single-bulb lamps can be used. When photographing with a close-up, the distance between the softbox and the face is small and provides proper exposure. Increasing the frame size quickly requires an increase in light quantity.
  
• Fashion on live models.
  If you plan to photograph fashion with a model (male or female), choose kits with two or more four-bulb softboxes.
