The BaseXStudio™ kit is designed for users based on the requirements of a home photo studio. It includes all the essential elements to build a photographic studio at home - a background hanging system, basic background, and lighting. The white background meets the requirements specified by authorities (document photos) and online sales platforms (product photography). The lighting power allows you to capture images ranging from close-ups (portraits, details) to half-close-ups (busts). For inanimate objects, the frame is only limited by the width of the background. The kit can also be used for filming (live, stream, remote learning), but higher sensitivities are required.

The lighting used in the kit is classic studio continuous lighting - single-bulb softbox lamps on lighting stands. The softboxes are equipped with PureLight™ photographic bulbs with standardized parameters (color temperature of 5500K and color rendering index CRI >90). Softboxes are a fundamental element of a photographic studio, used to modify the properties of light: size of the glowing surface, intensity, and direction of light. These types of lamps are increasingly popular in video productions and also serve as an excellent alternative to kinoflo lights.
Softboxes soften tonal transitions between light and shadow. Light is evenly distributed within the softbox and maintains consistent power across the entire diffuser surface. The exterior of the softbox is matte black, preventing it from reflecting light from other lamps. Setup and breakdown are exceptionally simple, and when folded, the softbox takes up minimal space. The high-quality materials used in its construction guarantee trouble-free operation for years. It's designed and built to ensure safe use with fluorescent bulbs.
The BaseXStudio™ kit uses a minimum of two lamps due to mutual shadow compensation - one lamp serves as the main light, while the other acts as fill light. The power of the used bulbs is specified in the technical specifications (below).
The BaseXStudio™ kit includes classic studio continuous lighting, i.e., single-bulb softbox lamps on lighting stands. Softboxes are the basic elements of a photographic studio designed to modify light properties: size of glowing surface, intensity, and direction of light. Lamps of this type are increasingly popular in video productions and also serve as an excellent alternative to kinoflo lights. The kit includes two lamps for mutual shadow compensation - one lamp serves as the main light, while the other acts as fill light. The fixture's dome is finished with silver material. Light is evenly distributed within the softbox and maintains consistent power across the entire diffuser surface. The exterior of the softbox is matte black, preventing it from reflecting light from other lamps.
The lamps are equipped with PureLight™ photographic bulbs with an E27 base and standardized parameters (neutral color temperature of 5500K and color rendering index CRI >90). Thanks to the natural color reproduction, the bulb does not introduce any color biases. The generated light stream, obtained after approximately 90 seconds of operation, is 5000 lumens and corresponds (approximately) to a 600W halogen bulb.
Setting up and breaking down the softbox is exceptionally simple, and when folded, it takes up minimal space. The high-quality materials used in its construction guarantee trouble-free operation for years.
The maximum height of a single stand is 210cm, and the recommended working height is 200 cm. The stand has convenient section clamps and a 16mm studio head with a universal 1/4" thread.
The telescopic mechanism provides a wide range of stand operation (78-210 cm, adjustable to any height) and versatility in applications. The leg spread (from foot to foot) is 75cm.
The stands work well not only with softboxes but also with flashlights and continuous lights, as well as halogen lamps.
The background hanging kit consists of two CGLS-816B studio stands and a folding dual-section beam attached to them. The frame allows you to hang various photographic backgrounds (cardboard, vinyl, or fabric) up to 5 kg in weight and with a maximum width of 165 cm. Backgrounds can be hung at heights ranging from 83 cm to 205 cm.
The beam is attached to the stands using butterfly nuts, preventing it from lifting when raising the background upwards. Unrolling the background from the roll is blocked by plugging in two handles (frogs) included with the kit.
The lightweight and economical photographic background made of polypropylene fabric ensures high durability and resistance to studio conditions - spills, creases, and tears. The cardboard roll protects against creases during transport or storage. Potential creases can be easily removed by steaming with a steam iron or wetting the background.
The width and length of the fabric on the roll are sufficient to create an entire background without creases (cyclorama) for photographing a silhouette. The perforated texture of the background minimizes reflections from strong light sources.
Note regarding material texture - People who encounter polypropylene photographic backgrounds for the first time may worry that the background's texture will be visible in photos. In real-life conditions, objects remain approximately 50 cm away from the background, and with a shallow depth of field, the background texture becomes blurred.

Note regarding material texture - People who encounter polypropylene photographic backgrounds for the first time may worry that the background's texture will be visible in photos. In real-life conditions, objects remain approximately 50 cm away from the background, and with a shallow depth of field, the background texture becomes blurred. Using an aperture below 8 ensures that the background structure is invisible.
When selecting lighting for a photographic studio, it's essential to ensure the right amount of light needed for your intended purpose. The Home Photographic Studio kits may include (depending on the version) from 2 to 16 bulbs.

CineGEN® is a Polish studio equipment brand we created in 2011 in Janki near Warsaw. We don't have 35 years of tradition or offices on two continents — what we do have is around 40,000 orders with CineGEN® products fulfilled every year and 15 years of working with light, which taught us what actually works in a studio.

Specifications and part of the designs are created in Poland; manufacturing takes place in China, under our supervision. Our product descriptions state real parameters and real limitations. A 200 PLN lamp won't replace a 2,000 PLN kit — and we won't pretend otherwise.
