Bike Rack

How does it work?  ━━━

The bike is attached to the wall in a vertical orientation, with the front wheel facing upwards. Inside the upper metal case, there's a hook that serves as an attachment point for the bike's front wheel. The rear wheel of the bike rests against a small metal stopper. The bike hangs stably and safely, and when you remove the bike, the hook can be closed, preventing any potential hazards to passersby or other equipment. The upper hook is covered with soft material, ensuring that the metallic parts of the bike wheels are protected from scratches.

Once your bike is mounted on this structure, it hangs vertically with its front wheel pointing upwards. This saves space and securely stores your bike on the wall. After removing the bike, you can close the upper hook to avoid accidentally catching passersby or other objects.

It's important to ensure that the structure is properly attached to the wall to support the weight of the bike. It's also crucial to make sure the bike is correctly placed within the structure to prevent accidental tipping over or damage.

The holder is very discreet, non-invasive, and can be mounted on walls without needing any permits or approvals. The low price of the holder means it isn't "attractive" in any way to outsiders, so it's suitable for shared spaces as well.

How to install the hook? ━━━

Prepare your tools:

  1. Hammer drill
  2. 7 mm concrete drill bit
(or others if you're using larger dowels and screws)
  3. Cross-head screwdriver
  4. Pencil

Install the RackWall™ hook:

  1. Once you've found a spot for installation, place your bike vertically against the wall to assess the height of the upper hook's mounting.
  2. Open the upper case with the hook and use a pencil to mark the points where you'll drill holes into the wall. Set aside the hook.
  3. Drill the holes, insert the dowels (make sure the entire dowel is inserted into the wall), place the upper hook back on, and tighten securely.
  4. Hang your bike in the hook and place the metal stopper against the lower wheel (at the point of contact between the wheel and the wall). Use a pencil to mark points for drilling holes into the wall.
  5. Remove the bike, insert the dowels, place the stopper back on, and tighten securely.
  6. Check that everything is tip-top ;)

Will this hook hold my bike?

That's a good question. The hook is made of metal and has a very high load capacity on its own. The dowels and screws included by the manufacturer are designed for installation in an unplastered concrete wall, and after proper mounting, the declared load capacity is 14 kg. For walls with different structures (ceramics, plaster, gypsum smooth finish, etc.) or heavier bikes, you should use other types of dowels and screws. Special care must be taken when dealing with walls made of drywall. You should use specialized dowels, and for heavier bikes - avoid mounting on such a wall.

In summary - for bike racks, the type of dowels used and the quality of installation play a big role. Any shortcomings will quickly become apparent - along with the dowels.

How to use the RackWall™ rack ━━━

After mounting on the wall, the RackWall™ rack looks like a black steel case. Open the hook flap, lift the hook upwards, CLOSE the flap and lower the hook. The hook is now ready to hang your bike as shown in the image.

It's important not to hang your bike on the hook with the flap open.

After hanging your bike, you can direct it towards the wall to take up less space.

Hanging your bike on the wall in a vertical orientation has many advantages, here are some of them:

✅ Space Saving
Hanging your bike on the wall allows for maximum space utilization. In a vertical position, the bike doesn't take up floor space, which is especially important in small rooms, garages or apartments where space is limited. You can freely use available floor space while keeping your bike safely stored on the wall.

✅ Safety and Protection
A bike hung vertically on the wall is stable and safe. There's no risk of it tipping over or getting damaged during storage. Additionally, if the bike is properly attached to the structure, you're protecting it from theft. Hanging your bike on the wall also avoids accidental damage to the bike or other objects that might be on the floor.

✅ Easy Access and Organization
Storing your bike vertically on the wall gives you easy access without having to move other items or rearrange other bikes. This is especially useful when you want to quickly grab your bike and go. Additionally, hanging bikes vertically allows you to create an orderly position for the bikes, making organization easier and providing a more aesthetically pleasing use of available space.

✅ Protection from Damage
By hanging your bike on the wall, you avoid contact with other objects that could cause damage such as scratches, dents or bumps. Your bike is safe and protected, especially if the upper hook is covered with soft material to prevent scratching of metallic wheel parts.

✅ Aesthetics
Hanging your bike vertically on the wall can also be visually appealing. You can showcase your bike as a decorative element, highlighting its unique design and style. Additionally, maintaining order and cleanliness in the room is easier when bikes are hung on the wall.

In summary, hanging your bike vertically on the wall is a practical and functional solution that saves space, protects your bike from damage, facilitates organization, and improves relations with other bike users.
